A star-studded front row is typical of any well-known designer, but Elie Saab had an interesting mix this year: Taylor Swift, Alain Delon, and Rachel Zoe.
Elie Saab’s collections are classically
ethereal and soft. He designed, yet again, a sophisticated and
perfectly consistent show. Bright blues opened the show and transcended
into light pinks and whites. Saab also incorporated colourful
watercolour looking prints into long maxi dresses with sharp black
lines. Chiffon gowns with touches of lace and sprinkles of clear
sequins created an old Hollywood feel. Beautiful silhouettes were
ultra-flattering. The same gowns then came down the runway as
knee-length forms. Saab also featured structured and vibrantly coloured
handbags.
There is a piece in this collection for
women of all ages. This collection is for the woman who has a place to
go, always on the move, yet always looking fabulous. Expect to see
these gowns on the red carpet; they are star dresses fit for the
ultimate movie star.
